In october I got the commission to paint a pastel portrait of the Jack Russel girl Berit, and now it is finally finished.
I have really enjoyed making the portrait of this little Jack Russel, and since she sadly passed away a couple of months ago, it felt special and I really wanted to capture her personality. The most challenging thing with her was her eyes. They are so dark, but still with that sparkle that makes her so pretty. The first eye took me quite a while, cause in the photo there were different vague shades of dark that shaped the form of the eyes. The second one was i little bit easier since had figured one out already.
Well, Im so happy about how she came out, and I hope the portrait will become a dear memory for her owner.
I have completely forgotten to varnish my young leopard. I will try to do that this week and I'm also planning to frame it. But I also need to start on my next commission!
Lot's of love
