My acrylic young leopard is now finished, and I am working on a sweet jack russel commission.
Well, it was actually finished a few weeks ago, and the result is published here on the site. I am really happy with how it turned out 😊. There are a couple of things left to do though, and that is varnishing and framing. I have bought Golden's Satin MSA varnish which I think will look lovely on this painting, but got cought up in something else inbetween...
Jack russel commission
This is a progress picture of what I am currently working on. I got a commission request of this lovely Jack Russel girl, Berit, who sadly passed away a few weeks ago. I am so happy to get to make her portrait, and I hope it will become a dear memory for her owner.
It's a lot of work left to do though ☺️. Working on the base layer now, and when that is finished I will follow with fine tuning color tones and adding fine details.
I am using mostly Faber Castell PITT Pastel pencils and complementing with som Derwent and Caran D'Ache, like most of my pastel paintings. I absolutely love Faber Castell. The paper is also as always the splendid Pastelmat from Claire Fontaine.
With love
Jenny
